Yess!!! IDBI is open for Medical Officers

IDBI Bank Limited invites applications from the eligible candidates who have the Indian citizenship, subjects of Nepal & Bhutan, Tibetan refugees those came over to India before 1st January 1962. Persons of Indian origin who have migrated from Myanmar and Sri Lanka with the intensions of permanently settling in India and in whose favor eligibility Certificate have been issued by Government of India. Appointment as part time Bank’s Medical Officer (BMO) purely on contract basis, with fixed hourly remuneration for various dispensaries of IDBI Bank Ltd.

Qualification
  • The interested candidates should have the degree of MD/MBBS from a recognized University or Institute which is approved by the Medical Council of India in the Allopathic system of Medicine.
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a General Practitioner reckoned as on date of eligibility (31-03-2020) from the date of registration with the Medical Council of India, National Medical Commission, or State Medical Council. (Experience gained during internship will not be counted for eligibility).
  • Those having Post Graduate Degree: Minimum 3 Years’ experience as a General Practitioner reckoned as on date of eligibility (31.03.2020) from the date of registration with the Medical Council of India, National Medical Commission, or State Medical Council. (Experience gained during internship will not be counted for eligibility).
Age
  • The age should not be more than 65 years as on date of advertisement.
Contract
  • Part-time purely on Contract. The term of the contract will be for an initial period of three years and will be reviewed every year.
  • The contract can be terminated by one month’s notice on either side at any time during the subsistence of the period of contract.
Salary
  • The remuneration of this position is Rs.1,000 per hour.
  • Plus conveyance allowances Rs.2,000 per month.
  • Compounding fees will be Rs.1,000 per month.
Selection Process
  • Applications received will be scrutinized and eligible candidates will be called to appear for a personal interview before the selection panel constituted by the Bank.
Job Profile
  • BMO will visit the concerned dispensary at the office/quarters of the Bank as mentioned in the table.
  • Attending to ailments of staff/Dependents/Pensioners etc.
  • Give advice, prescribe medicines, administer injections, and supply ordinary drugs.
  • Issue certificates in support of sick leave wherever necessary and countersign certificates produced by employees from other qualified medical practitioners.
  • Issue order forms on the approved chemists of the Bank for the supply of special/costly drugs or injections required for curative purpose to the Bank’s Workmen employees and forward every month the copies thereof to the Bank for payment of relative bills.
  • To make necessary arrangements for securing hospital facilities in case the employees of the Bank or their families (Spouse and children only) require such facilities in the hospital.
  • Scrutiny of medical bills including hospitalization bills of employees and pensioners.
  • To attend to all such matters which are necessary to run the dispensary efficiently.
  • BMO shall also be required to provide emergency sessions /telemedicine consultation.
Other Conditions
  • The appointment is purely on a Contract Basis. The BMO shall not be eligible for any benefits as available to Part-Time Permanent/Full-Time Permanent employees of the Bank.
  • They will be eligible for 20 days of Leave in a year.
  • Except for the services of the compounder, no other person will be allowed to be engaged by the Bank’s Medical officer.
  • Bank’s Medical Officer will have to make his/her arrangements for providing substitute during their absence, at their own cost.
  • The Bank reserves the right to review the rate of remuneration from time to time and alter the duty hours at its discretion in case it becomes expedient to suit administrative and operational requirements.

  • Superscribing the envelope “Application for the post of Bank Medical Officer on Purely Contract Basis” to the General Manager, IDBI Bank, 21st Floor, IDBI Tower, Cuffe Parade, Colaba, Mumbai 400005. Application not containing the above information as per format is liable to be rejected.

Note down the Important

  • Apart from the eligible short-listed candidates called for the interview for the post, the bank will not enter into any correspondence with the applicants.
  • The Bank reserves the right to raise/modify the eligibility criteria in educational qualification and/or experience etc. Canvasing in any form will be treated as a disqualification. The Bank reserves the right to reject any or all the applications without assigning any reasons thereto.
